Crockett (Tenn.) Times, Feb. 19, 1976: Mr. Stephenson Services for James Edward (Jim) Stephenson, 80, were held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Ronk Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Allen officiating. Burial is Alamo cemetery. Mr. Stephenson died at his home at 412 Cypress Rd. in Alamo about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday after a long illness. He was a retired farmer, was born in Crockett County, son of the late James Richard and Amanda Mount Stephenson. M r. Stephenson was a veteran of World War I. He leaes his wife, Mrs. Anna Buckingham Stephenson; two sons, Farrow Stephenson of Memphis and Fred Stephenson of Maury City; four daughters, Mrs. Louise Reasons of near Alamo, Mrs. Margaret Hardin of Trenton, Mrs. Shelby Ernest of Memphis and Mrs. Katie Byrd of Maury City; one sister, Mrs. Claudia Clark of the Nance community; 17 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. |
