The Lauderdale Co. Enterprise Newspaper (page 5) Ripley, Tennessee Solomon Atlas "Nick" Smith, 71, of Ripley, retired carpenter, died Wednesday of last week in Lauderdale County Hospital. Services were at 2 p.m. Friday in Halls Funeral Home with burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery near Friendship. He leaves a son, Thomas of Atoka; four brothers, Tom of Ripley, Bob of Pittsburg, Pa., and W.J. Smith of Chesterton, Ind.; three sisters, Mrs. Leona McBroom, Mrs. Alvie McAlister, and Miss Floy Smith of Ripley. (b. June 22, 1902, d. 1979 - the age in the paper was wrong) |
