The Crockett Times Alamo, Tennessee Thursday, November 25, 1948 Vol. 16 No. 39 Pvt. William N. Shea--Funeral services for Pvt. William N. Shea were conducted by Rev. George Pressler at Mt. Olive Assembly of God Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24. Burial was in Pond Creek Cemetery with Ronk Funeral Home in charge. Pvt. Shea, a member of the 349 Infantry Division, was killed in the North African area July 8th, 1944. He was 24. He leaves his mother, Mrs. Bernice Rebecca Shea, two brothers, Bud of Gibson Wells, Aubrey of Gadsden; three sisters, Mrs. Ewell Buckingham of Alamo, Mrs. Clyde Antwine of Gadsden and Mrs. Josephine Pressler of Dyer. |
