James C. Sellars

James C. Sellars, 35, died April 10, in a hospital in Detroit, Michigan, after a short illness. He was the son of Ben C. Sellars and the late Mattie B. Sellars of Humboldt. He was born in Crockett County and spent most of his life here. James had many friends.

He is survived by his father, one daughter, Peggy Jane Sellars of Memphis and one sister, Mrs. Freddie Byrd of Millington and a host of relatives.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Hunt Funeral Home in Humboldt by Rev. Woodson, pastor of Humboldt Baptist Church. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were James' cousins, Kermitt and Ausil Boals, Burl Laymon, Spencer Sutton, Walter Sellars and Jim Henry Grimes.

Hunt undertakers in charge.
