The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, September 5, 1946 Mrs. H. C. Scales Funeral services were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Methodist Church in Friendship for Mrs. Harry C. Scales with Bro. S. B. Morrison of Trimble officiating and Bro. A. L. Mays, local pastor. Burial was in Friendship cemetery with Evans & Lasiter Undertakers in charge. Mrs. Scales, the former Addie Mae Welch, daughter of the late Joe and Lannie Welch, had been in ill health for sometime, but death was a great shock to the community Sunday about noon. She was 33 and a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church. She leaves one son, Bobby, her husband, three sisters, Mrs. Vardaman Wilson of Memphis, Mrs. Clarence Redding of Chattanooga and Mrs. J. C. Jones of Friendship; one brother, Hubert Welch of Friendship. |
