The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, November 20, 1947 Jimmie Russell Funeral services for Jimmie Russell, Yellow Cab driver, killed in a motorcycle crash early Wednesday morning, Nov. 12 in Memphis, were held at Pond Creek Church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. B. A. Walker officiated. Burial under direction of Ronk Funeral Home was in the Church Cemetery. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Louise B. Russell, a baby daughter, Edna Gwen and his father, W. J. Russell of Memphis. Jimmie was a step grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. G. S. Watkins of Alamo and spent three years of his boyhood in their home. |
