Services for J. Amos Robertson, well known retired farmer and business man, who died at his home in Friendship Tuesday night at 7:45, were held at 10 Thursday morning at Friendship Baptist Church, the Rev. W. C. Skinner and the Rev. S. B. Morrison officiating. Burial was in Friendship Cemetery under direction of Thompson Funeral Home.

Mr. Robertson, who was 81, was born in Crockett County, where he farmed until 1922. He then moved to Friendship, where he operated a service station and large potato storage house until his retirement a year ago.

He and his wife, Mrs. Alice Robertson, managed the local telephone exchange at night.

Mr. Robertson was a deacon in the Friendship Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons, D. O. Robertson of Memphis, R. O. Robertson of Friendship; two brothers, E. A. Robertson of Newbern and Will Robertson of Arlington, Wash., six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
