DEATH--William Andrew Johnson RIDDICK was born March 22, 1868 and died March 8, 1949, 14 days from his 81st birthday. He was a teacher. His hometown, Maury City elected him a member of Crockett County Court. After this he served as Postmaster at Maury City for 20 years and retired at the age of 72 years. He was married to Betty Howell LEMONS in 1891. Of this union, the following children: Mrs. Eva DEYERLE and Will J. RIDDICK, of LePanto, Ark., Mrs. Jack POSTON, of Maury City, Miss Katy RIDDICK, of Memphis and Royce H. RIDDICK, of West Memphis, Ark. In 1917, he married Hattie B. SELLERS, of Fulton, Ky., of this union the following children survive: Mrs. T. Warren GARRETT, of Murfressboro, and Mary Sue and Gladys RIDDICK, both of Atlanta, Ga. He is survived by five grandchildren: Royce RIDDICK, JR., of Cadet School, San Antonio, Texas, Betty Riddick CLARK, of West Memphis, Ark., T. W. GARRETT, III, Margaret GARRETT and Wm. Riddick GARRETT, all of Murfreesboro. He was the eldest of 10 children, five of whom still survive: E. L. RIDDICK, J. D. RIDDICK, W. P. RIDDICK and Mrs. Ola RIDDICK, all of Maury City and T. B. RIDDICK, of Humboldt. Funeral services were at M. S. Church in Maury City, burial in Maury City Cemetery.
