The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, October 17, 1940 Marvin Wallace Reasons Marvin Wallace Reasons, 32, died as a result of a hay wagon accident on Wednesday of last week at his home in the Coxville community. He was driving his team with a loaded wagon of baled hay to his barn, and as the wagon reached the inclined approach the team was unable to hold the load back when Mr. Reasons discovered that his body on top of the load would not clear the loft joist in the penning for the unloading hay. Mr. Reasons was caught between the loft joists and the load of hay and fatally injured about the body. He lived 35 minutes following the accident. Mr. Reasons was a member of the Coxville Church of Christ. His widow, Mrs. Grace Reasons, two children, Jere and Martha Ann Reasons, his father, Frazier C. Reasons, and three sisters and a brother survive. Burial was at Salem after services at the church by Elder R. E. Black. |
