H. D. Raines Obituary

Mr. H. D. Raines passed away Friday morning at the Baptist Hospital, Memphis, where he had been a patient since the 28th of December. Mr. Raines was a member of the Methodist Church and as long as his health permitted, was a loyal member of the Cross Roads Methodist Church. The funeral was held at the church Sunday afternoon by the pastor, Rev. Walker assisted by a former pastor, Rev. W. J. Cooley and was attended by a large crowd of relatives and friends. He was buried in Belleview Cemetery with the Goosmann Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alta Raines, five sons and a daughter, three brothers and three sisters and several grandchildren.
