The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, March 7, 1946 Samuel L. Privett Samuel L. Privett, 92, died at the home of his son, Lonnie Privett, near Bells Monday at noon. Mr. Privett was born and reared in Crockett County where he farmed until his retirement several years ago. He was a member of the Baptist Church and a splendid good citizen with many friends throughout the county. He is survived by two sons, Lonnie, and M. A. Privett of Fowlkes; three daughters, Mrs. Minnie Chatman of Alamo; Mrs. Sarah Crowe of Arizona, and Mrs. Ada Summitt of Flint, Mich. He lived at Friendship until the death of his son, Edgar Privett, several months ago. Services Tuesday afternoon at Pond Creek Church near Alamo by Rev. J. T. Barker. Burial at Pond Creek. Evans & Lasiter Funeral Home in charge. |
