The Crockett Times Alamo, Tennessee Thursday, September 23, 1948 Vol. 16, No. 30 Jim Wash Porter--Funeral services for Jim Wash Porter, 58, were held Sunday at Cypress Methodist Church, with Rev. B. A. Walker officiating. Burial was in Cypress Cemetery with Ronk Funeral Home in charge. He was born and reared in this county and had been a farmer all his life. He was a Methodist. Surviving are his wife and the following children: Dewey of the U. S. Navy, Junior of Midway; Floyd of near Bells; Josephine, Shirley and Billie Bob of this county. He also leaves five brothers, Ruffin, Tom, John, Charley and Nelson of this county, and four sisters, Mrs. Azlee Perry of Texas, Mrs. Lela Stephenson of Bells, Mrs. Lydia Hudgins of Car, Mo., and Mrs. Violet Richardson of Center. |
