The Crockett Times Alamo, Tennessee Thursday, October 28, 1948 Vol. 16 No. 35 Mrs. Jim Pittman--Mrs. Ellen Ann Pittman, wife of Jim Pittman, died Monday at 6 p.m. at her home in the Nance community where she had been a life long resident. Mrs. Pittman was 81 years of age and a member of the Church of Christ. Mr. and Mrs. Pittman had been married for 62 years. The survivors are six children, Herbert Pittman of Jackson; Johnnie, Lawrence, Willie Joe and Miss Allie Pittman and Mrs. W. T. Farrow of Alamo; three sisters, Mrs. J. F. Sisco, Bemis; Mrs. John Smith, Dyersburg; Mrs. Sarah Bailey, Romeo, Mich.; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services Thursday at 11 a.m. at Nance Church of Christ by Ernest Boone, local minister, assisted by A. C. Carpenter of Brownsville.
