The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, May 15, 1947 Mrs. L. B. Pitner, Sr. Mrs. Luther Pitner, 52, died Thursday, May 8 at her home in the Cross Roads Community. She had been in ill health for several months. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2:30 at the Cross Roads Church of Christ by Bro. R. E. Black and Charles Pitner, a nephew. Burial was in Belleview Cemetery with Ronk Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Pitner was one of the most highly respected citizens of the Cross Roads Community where she spent most of her life. She had a host of friends in that and surrounding communities, who deeply mourn her passing. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ and will be greatly missed there as well as in other work in the community. She leaves her husband, one son, L. B., Jr., an Alamo business man, and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Greene of Tigrett and Mrs. Amanda Griffin of White Bluff, Tenn. Deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaves husband and son.
