Mrs. Otho Pitner--Services for Mrs. Annie Edwards Pitner, who passed away at her home at Bells Friday morning were held Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at the Church of Christ with Rev. Ernest Boone of Alamo in charge, assisted by Bro. A. C. Carpenter of Brownsville. Mrs. Pitner was born in Bells and lived there all her life with the exception of about five years. She was a faithful, loyal member of the Bells Church of Christ. She was fifty-six years old. She leaves her husband, Otho Pitner, two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Powell of Edinburg, Texas, Miss Louise Pitner of Brownsville and one son, Charles Pitner of Paris, Tenn.; four sisters, Mrs. J. E. Rust of Bells, Mrs. D. L. Sturgis of Gibson, Mrs. J. M. Whitehorn of Jackson and Mrs. J. C. Appleby of Bells; one brother, Rev. Deryl Edwards of Carlton, Mo. The Church of Christ was filled Saturday morning with sorrowing relatives and friends and the many lovely flowers were evidence of love and friendship felt for Mrs. Pitner. Her body was carried to Belleview Cemetery and laid to rest in the Edwards family lot.
