FALLEN ASLEEP WILLIAM F. PARKER William F. Parker was born about seventy-two years ago. He was one of a large family and knew much of the struggles incident to such families where finances were limited. After some teaching in public schools he began his business career by clerking for Coffman & Craig, of Friendship, Tennessee. Then after a few years in business with Frank Moore, he began in the dry goods business for himself, about 1898 in Friendship. His was a business built on honest dealing a constant courtesy. With his life of simplicity and economy his earthly possessions gradually increased. To such a character as W. F. Parker there were three outstanding essentials: his home, his church life and his business. He had the misfortune to lose two devoted wives and to spend the last years of his life with the third wife, Mrs. Nora Herrin Parker. All of these helped him to establish the ideals of a christian home. From it went out two accomplished and affectionate daughters---Mrs. C.E. HAYS. of -----
