The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, July 31, 1947 Mrs. W. F. Parker Mrs. W. F. Parker, formerly of Friendship died Wednesday morning at the Davis Nursing Home in Nashville. Thompson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements which are incomplete as we go to press. A more extended writeup will be given next week.
The Crockett Times Mrs. W. F. Parker Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Methodist church in Friendship for Mrs. W. F. Parker, who died at the Betty Davis Masonic Home in Nashville, Wednesday morning. The Rev. S. B. Morrison of Trimble officiated. Burial was in Bell Vernon Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Parker was born and reared in McKenzie, moving to Friendship in 1913 when she was married to Mr. William F. Parker, one of Friendships most progressive merchants. Mrs. Billie as she was known to her friends had a stroke of paralysis about 2 years ago, from which she never entirely recovered. She had been in Nashville for 8 months where she died of a heart attack. She was a member of the Methodist Church and very active in all church and community activities. She leaves one step daughter, Mrs. Ruth Hays of Memphis, three nieces, Mrs. Elah Duncan of McKenzie, Mrs. Robert Caldwell of Jackson and Mrs. F. H. Herndon of San Antonio, Texas, one nephew, Frank Herron of Pasadena, Calif. |
