Crockett (Tenn.) Times, Jan. 4, 1962: Dorothy Helen Mount Miss Dorothy Helen Mount died Monday night at 11:30 at her home in Maury City after several months illness. She was a native of Crockett County and was a teacher in the county schools for 32 years, teaching at Alamo, Midway, (illegible) and Maury City. She was a teacher in Maury City for eight (possibly eighteen) years or until her recent illness. She was 50 years of age and a member of the Baptist Church. Services were held Wednesday at ? p.m. at Maury city Baptist church with Rev. J.T. Drace and Rev. Jack Mick officiating. Burial was in Maury City Cemetery with Ronk Funeral Home in charge. She leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.W. Mount of Maury City; a sister, Miss Hilda Mount of Maury City; and four brothers, Harold Mount of near Alamo, Ira Mount of Forth Worth, Texas, John Harris Mount and James Mount, both of near Friendship. |
