The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, June 6, 1946 Frank S. Moore Frank S. Moore, 85, died Thursday morning at his home in Friendship. Mr. Moore was a merchant of Friendship and Halls for many years and was the first cashier of the old Farmers & Merchants Bank, established about 1912. He was the first mayor of Friendship under the present charter and was at one time a member of the county court. Mr. Moore was a man of strong convictions and always voiced his opinion in no uncertain terms. He was a high toned gentleman, industrious and a citizen of the highest type. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. S. U. Haride of Florence, Ala., and Mrs. Emma Knox of Friendship, and a son, Robert Moore of Bowling Green, Ky., and six grand children. Funeral services were held Friday at Friendship Baptist Church by the Revs. W. C. Skinner, A. L. Mayes and Harvey Smith. Burial in Belleveronon cemetery. Evans & Lasiter Funeral Home in charge. |
