Mrs. B. D. McKnight Obituary

Services for Mrs. B. D. McKnight, who died Thursday in Reno, Nev., were held in Ripley, Tuesday at the First Methodist Church. The Rev. Howell Taylor and the Rev. L. O. Hartman officiated. Mrs. McKnight was 67 and the mother of eight children, six sons and two daughters who survive. She was the widow of the late Burnie D. McKnight, contractor, who built the first brick school building in Friendship and other buildings in the business district. The McKnight family lived where Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Chambers now live. They had many friends in Friendship and community. Mrs. McKnight was a musician and teacher of voice.
