The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, February 20, 1947 Mrs. R. L. McGee Services for Mrs. R. L. McGee of Neboville, who died at her home last Thursday morning were held in the Baptist Church in Yorkville Friday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Leon Corley and the Rev. J. T. Barker. Burial in Yorkville Cemetery. Mrs. McGee was born in this county, and was a daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Ray. She had been ill for a long time. She was 78 years of age. Mrs. McGee was a member of the Baptist Church. Her husband, Robert L. McGee, was a leading farmer of Crockett County and a peace officer here for many years before moving to Gibson County. Many friends in this county deeply sympathize with him in his loss. A daughter, Mrs. Banks Turner of Yorkville; three sisters, Mrs. Fannie Featherson of Newbern; Mrs. Rome Warren of Alamo and Mrs. Oscar Warren of Maury Junction also survive. |
