Friday July 13th, 1923 ---MAURY CITY ITEMS--- The people of the town were shocked early last Wednesday morning when the sad news came that Thomas McDEARMON, the 17-year-old son of Mrs. Tom GRIFFIN, had breathed his last. He had been sick for about a week of fever, but was thought better. Sad indeed for the mother to give him up, he being her only child. The remains were carried to Halls Thursday and laid to rest.
