The Crockett Times Alamo, Tennessee Thursday, March 8, 1951 Vol. 19 No. 2 THOMAS L. MATHEWS Funeral services were held on Monday at 2 p.m. at the Johnson Grove Baptist Church for Thomas L. Mathews, who died at his home near Maury City Sunday. James P. Needham, minister of the Church of Christ of Maury City officiated. Burial was in Robertson Cemetery with Ronk Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Mathews was 72 and a veteran of the Spanish American War. He leaves his wife; one daughter, Miss Louise Mathews of Maury City and one brother, Carlton Mathews of Caruthersville, Mo. |
