The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, February 6, 1947 Mrs. Alta J. Mathews Mrs. Alta J. Mathews passed away after a long illness at the home of her sister, Mrs. E. O. Prather, Sr., in Alamo, Sunday, January 26. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Jackson of Newton, Ill. She was laid to rest in the Riverside Cemetery in Newton, Ill. Mrs. Mathews is survived by six sisters, Mrs. E. O. Prather, Sr., of Alamo; Mrs. Bessie Hinds, Pasadena, Calif., Mrs. C. H. Dogherty, Plaines, Mont.; Mrs. Aaron Reed, Newton, Ill.; Mrs. Paul Schallert, Orlando, Fla.; Mrs. H. A. Wilson, Jackson, Miss. |
