Martha J. York Kee Obituary

GADSDEN--On last Monday night, MRS. JOHN KEE passed away at her home here, after ten days' suffering from the effects of a fall. Martha J. YORK was born in Georgia February 22, 1829, so had reached the ripe old age of 94. She was married three times, first to Pleasant GUEST, at the age of 16; to this union were born six children. Her second marriage was to Phillip PIERCE, and third marriage to John KEE, who survives, with whom she had lived 32 years. She is survived by two brothers; one sister; three children (who are considered old people), 39 grandchildren; and a goodly number of decendants in the third and fourth generations. After funeral services at the Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. DeSHAZO, her remains were interred in Young's Cemetery.
