The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, March 17, 1938 Mrs. O. H. Jennings After a courageous, patient fight for several years, Mrs. O. H. Jennings passed away Thursday, March 10, at Baptist Hospital in Memphis. Her body immediately carried from Memphis to her home on Wynn Street in Paris where it remained until Saturday morning where a short funeral service was conducted by Rev. L. L. Cowan, pastor of the First Methodist church, Paris. Then the body was carried to the Methodist church in Maury City where funeral services were conducted by Revs. J. C. W. Nunn of Bells and V. E. Banks, pastor of the Maury City Methodist church. She was a devoted wife and mother and was loved by all who knew her. She lived a beautiful Christian life, being a member of the Methodist church from early girlhood. She was 49 years of age. Her husband, two sisters, Mrs. A. C. Jennings of Maury City, and Mrs. J. M. Crider of Jackson; two brothers, Frank Riddick of Maury City and Jim Riddick of San Francisco; two daughters, Betty Lou Jennings of Paris and Mrs. William Fitzpatrick of Detroit; four sons, Johnny Jennings, in United States Naval Service in China; Wilson Jennings of New York City and Bobby of Paris, Frank Jennings of Benton, Ky., survive. Mrs. Jennings had many friends in Maury City community where she was born and reared and lived until she moved to Paris with her husband several years ago. Interment in Maury City cemetery. The beautiful floral offerings were an expression of love relatives and friends had for her. Pall Bearers were; C. C. Carter, H. W. Branch, R. R. Gibbons, W. C. Wyse, Jack Poston and W. E. Elmore. |
Edna Reddick Jennings was the daughter of James H. Reddick & Malissa Avery, and the wife of Owen Hendrix Jennings.
