The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, August 21, 1947 Dr. F. C. James, Sr., 74, Will Be Buried Today Services for Dr. F. C. James Sr., lifelong resident of Crockett County and practicing physician for more than 40 years, who died at his home in Gadsden Wednesday, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Church of Christ. Fred Chunn will officiate. Dr. James was 74. He had been ill for two weeks. He served for a number of years on the Gadsden School Board. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Mary Humphreys James; a son, Fred James Jr. of Gadsden; a daughter, Miss Ruth James of Memphis, and a grandson. |
