The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, October 10, 1946 Luther E. Hopper Luther E. Hopper, 68, died Wednesday, October 2, at 6 p.m. at his home in Alamo. Mr. Hopper suffered a stroke a few months ago. Mr. Hopper was a retired farmer and moved to Alamo a number of months ago. He had many friends, and was a highly respected citizen. He leaves his wife; fours sons, Don Hopper, Murlon Hopper and Doyle Hopper, of Alamo, and Finis Hopper of Bells; five daughters, Mrs. Dewey Overton, Bells; Mrs. Blondell Farrow and Mrs. Cebia Jones of Alamo; Mrs. Hazel Branch, Milan; Mrs. J. R. Thomas, Memphis. Funeral services were held Thursday at 2 o'clock at the First Christian Church in Alamo by the Rev. E. R. Vaughn, with the Ronk Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial in Alamo Cemetery. |
