CROCKETT COUNTY SENTINEL BELLS, TENNESSEE THURSDAY MARCH 16, 1950 DEATH... William H. HOLMES, of Bells died Wednesday of last week at Kennedy Hospital of burns he received when an oil cook stove exploded at his home early Friday morning. He was 39. He lit two burners of the stove, allowing it to heat up when it exploded spraying hot oil on him. Born and reared near Bells, he was employed at a canning factory near his home. He leaves two sisters, Mrs. J. C. HUNTER of Memphis and Miss Amy HOLMES of Bells. |
