The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, June 26, 1947 Robert J. Hill Robert Joseph Hill, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orin L. Hill of Bells, died two hours before he was scheduled to pose for a newspaper photographer atop the steeple of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Vicksburg, Miss., June 17. He died in the basement of the church before mounting the steeple and a coroner's jury returned a verdict of death from natural causes. Mr. Hill was born in Marble Mill, Mo., August 28, 1901. He was a veteran of both World War I and World War II. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, June 18 at the Goosmann Funeral Home by Rev. J. P. Irion. |
