W.H. Hefley Dies
In Nashville Hospital

William Henry Hefley, 68, retired farmer for many years on account of physical disability, died at a Nashville hospital Wednesday night following an acute intestinal obstruction.

Mr. Hefley was born and reared in Crockett County, Tennessee, member of a pioneer and promient family of West Tennessee, but had made his home in Humboldt for the past 14 years. He was a Baptist.

He leaves a wife, Mrs. Nina Hefley of Humboldt, three daughters, Miss Thelma, Velma and Lois Hefley all of Humboldt, a son Private W. Henry Hefley, U.S. Army Air Base, Blytheville, Arkansas, three sisters, Mrs. Scott Moore of Gadsden, Mrs. M. L. Dunlap of Humboldt and Mrs. M. E. Resons of Humboldt and two brothers, George P. Hefley of Humboldt and Arthur Hefley of Jackson, Tenn.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock in the chapel of the Hunt Funeral Home, the Rev. S. R. Woodson pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial followed in Rose Hill cemetery, with Hunt Funeral Home in charge.
