The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, July 11, 1946 David G. Harber Services for David G. Harber, farmer of the Elizabeth community, who died Wednesday, July 3 at his home, were held Thursday afternoon at the Elizabeth Methodist Church with the Rev. R. R. Smith, Methodist pastor of Sardis, Tenn., officiating. Burial was in the Friendship Cemetery with Sudbury Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Harber, who was 76, was born in Crockett County and spent his life here. He retired from farming several years ago. He was a member of the Elizabeth Methodist Church. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lida Vernon Harber; three sons, Jessie Harber, Dyersburg, Tenn., Marion Harber, Memphis, and Johnnie Harber of Dyersburg; two daughters, Mrs. Bettie Lou McCaleb, Friendship, and Mrs. J. A. McDowell, Memphis; two brothers, B. A. Harber, Friendship and W. H. Harber of Memphis, and a sister, Mrs. Fannie Childress of Friendship.
