The Crockett Times Alamo, Tennessee Thursday, February 5, 1948 Vol.15 No. 49 Funeral services for R. L. Griffin, aged 77, were held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Sudbury Funeral Home in Friendship, Rev C. O. Frey officiated. Mr. Griffin died Wednesday at the home of his brother, Will Griffin, in Humboldt. He was a son of the late Dr. Griffin, one of the leading citizens and landowners of this section. Mr. Griffin had many friends and was a good citizen. He retired from farming several years ago, and made his home in Friendship for sometime. One son, D. W. Griffin, of Memphis; two brothers, W. H. Griffin of Humboldt and Ira Griffin of Friendship, survive. The remains were interred in Mt. Zion Cemetery under direction of Sudbury Funeral Home. Robert L. Griffin was the son of Dr. James A.
