The Crockett Times, Alamo, and/or Crockett County Sentinel, Bells 24 Apr 1975 Funeral services for Mrs. Johnie Badgett Gibbons, 92, were held at 4:30 p.m. Monday at Maury City Baptist Church with Rev. James Jones officiating. Burial was in Maury City cemetery with Ronk Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Gibbons died Sunday morning at the Jackson Madison County Hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of Reed Gibbons who preceded her in death in 1951. She leaves two sons, Jack Gibbons of Alamo, and James Gibbons of Maury City; four daughters, Mrs. Jack Cooper and Mrs. Cecil Turnage, both of Maury City, Mrs. Olive Osborn of Alamo and Mrs. Josephine Arrington of Jackson; one half-sister, Mrs. Eva Rooks of Alamo, three half-brothers, Cecil Badgett of Alamo, Claude Badgett of Friendship and Guy Badgett of Maury City, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. [Her tombstone, in the Maury City Cemetery, gives her first name as Johnnie. Johnnie Willie Badgett Gibbons was the daughter of George Thomas Badgett & Josephine Sybil Dean.
