Body of Hallie A. Emison to be returned--Mr. and Mrs. Hallie A. Emison of near Alamo received a message Thursday stating that the body of their son, Hallie A., Jr., who was killed in action on Attu Island in the Pacific May 29, 1943, is enroute to the States. Announcement of arrival and funeral plans will be made later.

Hallie Emison, Jr.--Services for Hallie Emison, Jr., who was killed in action on Attu Island in the Aleutians May 29, 1943, were held Wednesday at 3 o'clock at the Baptist Church in Alamo, the Rev. J. E. Sharp officiating. Mr. Emison was 25 at the time of his death. He was reared near Alamo and had many friends. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hallie Emison, Sr., wife, Mrs. Annie Emison of Humboldt, 2 brothers, Doyle and George Emison of Alamo. Burial was in Alamo Cemetery. Ronk Funeral Home in charge.
