The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, November 7, 1946 Lawson C. Elmore Halls, Tenn., Nov. 1 � Services for Lawson Carrie Elmore, retired merchant and farmer of Chestnut Bluff community were held at 2:30 Sunday afternoon at Lebanon Methodist Church with the Rev. Mr. Evans of Fowlkes officiating. Burial in Halls Cemetery with Sudbury Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Elmore, who was 58, died at 9:30 Friday night at his home in Chestnut Bluff. He had been ill for three weeks. He was born in Crockett County as was a member of the Lebanon Methodist Church. He leaves his wife, the former Irma Jones; two brothers, Ewell Elmore of Halls and Ivan Elmore of Dyersburg and two sisters, Mrs. Cordie Bettis of Dyersburg and Mrs. Ester Allen of Dyersburg. |
