The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, July 24, 1947 E. E. Edwards E. E. Edwards, for many years a leading citizen and merchant of Bells, was found dead in bed Wednesday morning. He had been in failing health for sometime. Mr. Edwards was well known throughout the county and had a host of friends. Mr. Edwards was 66 years of age. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Bells. He is survived by his wife, two children, Dr. Edwin Edwards of McKenzie and Mrs. Frank Barton, who is now in Manilla, two grandchildren, E. E. Edwards, III and Bobby Edwards, five sisters, Mrs. J. E. Rust, Bells, Mrs. Otha Pitner, Bells, Mrs. T. L. Sturgis, Tunica, Miss., Mrs. J. M. Whitehorn of Jackson and Mrs. J. C. Appleby of Bells, one half brother, Rev. D. W. Edwards of Carlton, Mo. Funeral services were conducted today, Thursday at the First Christian Church in Bells with Bro. E. D. Motley, officiating. Burial in Bells with Goosmann Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. |
