FUNERAL--Mr. James Kendrick DUNLAP passed away in the early hours of February 2, 1949 at the age of 86 years and 3 months. The funeral was held at the home of his son, at Fruitvale, burial in Belleview Cemetery. He was born October 12, 1862 and married Miss Dora Hortense CAREY December 10, 1890. To this union were born three boys and one girl; surviving are Perry DUNLAP, Earl DUNLAP and Mrs. Bessie WILLIAMS, the youngest boy passing on at the age of three months. He has one grandson, Kendell WILLIAMS, now in Knoxville. His wife preceded him in death thirteen years ago. He was born north of Gadsden, the son of James M. and Elizabeth CARTER DUNLAP, of a family of nine children. Four of his sisters survive; Mrs. W. Z. RAINES, Mrs. J. N. JACKSON, Mrs. Franklin CRADDOCK and Mrs. Lum RAINS. His brother, Roland P. DUNLAP died a few years ago in Okla.
