The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, August 29, 1946 Mrs. Earl Darden Mrs. Earl Darden, 44, died Sunday morning at her home at Quincy. She was a member of the Presbyterian church at Bethesda where funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock be the Rev. George McIlwain of Dyer. She leaves her husband, and the following children, Mrs. Rosemary Dennis of Memphis; Ann Smith, Gay and Guy, Marion and Earl, Jr.; two sisters, Mrs. J. S. Anderson of Nashville, Miss Virginia Smith of Memphis; three uncles, R. L. Griffin of Memphis, Ira Griffin of Friendship and Will Griffin of Humboldt. She was the former Cecil Smith of Friendship. Ronk Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements. Charles "Cecil" Smith was the daughter of Charles Cecil Smith & Rosa M. Griffin. She married 27 Oct 1923 in Crockett Co. to Earl Gardner Darden. |
