Jessie E. Cozart

Jessie E. Cozart, 70, died at his home on the Humboldt Highway, across from the Country Club, this morning at 3:30 o'clock.

He was a farmer and a member of the Methodist Church near Gadsden.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Florence Bickerstaff Cozart, one son, Jessie, Jr.; one sister, Mrs. Randle Allen, Indianapolis, Ind.; one brother, Allison Cozart, Cincinnati, Ohio, and a number of nieces and nephews.

The remains will be at the residence until the funeral hour at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, when services will be conducted by the Rev. James Sharpe and the Rev. J. O. Altom.

Interment with Ronk Funeral Home of Alamo in charge will be in Hollywood cemetery. Pallbearers will be J. O. Johnson, Carl Walker, I. G. Woods, John Benson, Kenneth Dowdell and E. L. Bolding.

Mr. Cozart formerly lived in Alamo and Friendship. He was City Marshal in each town for several years. He was reared in the Gadsden community.
