SAM J. COOK Services for Sam J. Cook, retired farmer, were held Monday afternoon at Cox Chapel in Crockett County. The Rev. W. E. Cunningham, paster of First Christian Church in Humboldt, officiated. Burial was in Cox Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Cook, who was 86, died Sunday at the home of his daughter-in-law, Mrs. George Cook with whom he made his home. Born and reared in Crockett County , he moved to Gibson County 60 years ago. He was a member of the Central Avenue Christian Church in Humboldt. He leaves two sons, Norman Cook of Humboldt and Eugene Cook of St. Louis, two daughters, Mrs. Tommy Williams of the Adair Community between Bells and Jackson and Mrs. Fred Hopper of Henderson and a sister, Mrs. Dink Burke of Alamo. |
