Jim Conley--Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Nance Church of Christ for Mr. Jim Conley. Ernest V. Boone, minister of the Church of Christ of Alamo, officiated. Burial was in Nance Cemetery with Sudbury Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Conley died at his home in Alamo Wednesday night, November 17th. He had been in ill health for some time. He was 62 and a member of the Church of Christ. He was a retired planter, having moved to Alamo about three years ago from the Nance Community where he was born and reared. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Verlie Randle Conley and two sons, Otha Conley of Alamo and Charles Conley of Bells, five daughters Mrs. Evelyn Seward and Mrs. W. G. Snow, both of Memphis, Mrs. Leon Beville of Clifton, Colo., Mrs. Freddie Strange of Crockett Mills, and Miss Emma Lou Conley of Alamo; two brothers, S. A. Conley and H. J. Conley of Alamo; nine sisters, Mrs. Ed Stallings, Mrs. Watt Hunt, Mrs. Edd Boone, Mrs. Eva Speight and Mrs. Don Warren of Alamo; Mrs. Jim Hefley and Mrs. T. J. Williams, both of Memphis; Mrs. Leslie Kirby of Halls and Mrs. A. C. Dresden of Pulaski, Tenn.


James David Conley was the son of David Hall Conley & Nancy Elizabeth (Bettie) Smith.
