The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, November 6, 1947 Services Saturday for Lt. William Colvett Services for Lt. William Larimore Colvett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lum Colvett of near Alamo will be held at Nance Church of Christ Saturday at 2:30 p.m., R. E. Black officiating, with Ronk Funeral Home in charge. Lt. Colvett is the second boy to be returned to Crockett for burial from the European theatre of war. He was killed in 1944 in the battle of the Bulge. He is survived by his parents, three brothers, Horace, Lonnie and Fred Colvett and two sisters, Mrs. E. H. Branch and Miss Latane Colvett. He was a school teacher in civilian life and one of the county's finest young men. |
