RITES ARRANGED FOR MOTHER OF PRESS-SCIMITAR STEREOTYPER Services for Mrs. Sarah L. Coltrain, mother of Lawrence C. Coltrain, stereotyper for the Press-Scimitar, will be held at 10 o'clock this morning at Cosmopolitan Funeral Home, with J.A McNutt officiating. Burial will be at Friendship Tenn., where services will be held at 12:30 o'clock in Antioch Church Of Christ. Mrs. Coltrain died at 3:25 o'clock yesterday morning at the home of her son, 631 Brister street, following a month long illness. She was 85. Born near Jonesboro, Ark., Mrs. Coltrain had lived in Crockett County Tenn., until coming to Memphis 20 years ago. She was a member of Church of Christ. Besides her son, she leaves her husband, Christopher C. Coltrain of Little Rock Ark., and a grandson, C. Delaine Coltrain of Memphis. The date of her death was Friday morning Aug. 23rd,1940. Sarah L. Stallings Coltrain was the daughter of Lott & Eliza Stallings. |
