The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, December 11, 1947 Pvt. Frazier Churchwell Services for Pvt. Frazier Churchwell, who was killed in France on June 19, 1944 at the age of 22, were held at Nance Church of Christ Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. A. C. Carpenter officiated and Ronk Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements. Pvt. Churchwell, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Churchwell of the Nance community, landed in France on D Day with the Second Division. He was in service about two and one-half years. He is survived by his wife, parents and following brothers and sisters; Mrs. Jewell Via, Mrs. Clarence Griffin, Mrs. Mary Nell Colvett, all of Bells, and Coy, Billie, Peggy Jean, Pansy, Shirley, Edmond, Monroe and Junior Churchwell all of this county. Burial was in Nance cemetery. |
