ALAMO, Tenn. � Mrs. Sarah Parlow Cates, 82, died at 8 a.m. today at her home in Alamo after a long illness. She was the widow of Walter H. Cates, who died in 1943. Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Alamo Churdh of Christ with O. D. Johns officiating. Burial will be in Cairo Cemetery near Alamo with Ronk Funeral Home in charge. She was born in Hardeman County, daughter of Nathan and Arlesia Yarbrough Parlow. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Clinton Edwards and Mrs. Fern Love, both of Alamo; a half-brother, Ause Parlow of Alamo; a half-sister, Mrs. Lizzie Conley of Alamo; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
