The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, December 5, 1946 Milton Cates Milton Cates, 82, native of this county, died Saturday morning in Nashville where he had been living for sometime. He lived at Humboldt for many years and was a retired business man and farmer. Mr. Cates was the last and youngest of seven sons of the late Charles and Sarah Cates, pioneer citizens of this section. He was well known throughout Crockett and adjoining counties. He always enjoyed his trips back to Alamo, meeting old friends and acquaintances. Mr. Cates leaves one daughter, Miss Ruby Cates of Chattanooga and several nephews and nieces. Mr. Cates had been in ill health for sometime. Burial was in Hollowood cemetery, Jackson, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. |
