The Crockett Times Funeral services for Charles Rainey Cates, 53, were held Friday afternoon at 2 o�clock at the Nance Church of Christ with Ernest Boone of Maury City officiating, assisted by the Rev. Robert E, Brown. Burial was in the Nance cemetery with Ronk Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Cates was born in Crockett County, son of the late Mr. And Mrs. Luther Cates. After the death of his parents he lived in the home of Mrs. Jesse Conley and the late Mr. Conley. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a farmer and truck driver. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Annie Mae Cates, a son, Billy Rex Cates of Centralia, Ill; a sister Mrs. Leonard Thompson of Stillwell, Okla.; a brother, Max Cates; a nephew, Joe Max Cates, both of Alamo.
