William F. Butler

Services for William F. Butler of 1221 Faxon, who died at Methodist Hospital at 9:45 Thursday morning where held at 2:30 Friday afternoon at National Funeral Home. The Rev. A. V. DeShazo officiated and burial in Forest Hill. Mr. Butler was 61.

He was born in Scottsville, Tenn., and he came to Memphis 10 years ago. He operated a grocery at Bells, Tenn., for many years before becoming a storekeeper for the Clover Farm Dairy in Memphis. He was a member of the Alamo, Tenn., Masonic lodge, and Al Chymia Temple of the Shrine in Memphis.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Mary Jane Butler; two sons and a daughter, Teddy B. and Ross C. Butler and Mrs. Lloyd Nelms, all of Memphis; another son, Charles V. Butler of Gleason, Tenn.; four brothers, Joe L. Butler of Humboldt, Tenn.; George W. Butler of Bells, Robert L. Butler of Alamo and Charles P. Butler of Kosciusko, Miss., and a sister, Miss Mary L. Butler of Alamo.
