CROCKETT COUNTY SENTINEL VOLUME 77 NUMBER 3 THURSDAY AUGUST 4, 1949 BELLS, TENNESSEE DEATH--Services for J. T. BROWN, Jr., Friendship farmer, were held at 4 p. m. Thursday at the Methodist Church in Friendship, burial in Bellevernon Cemetery. He was 58. He died Wednesday after about a ten day illness. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Ellie Taylor BROWN; his daughter, Mrs. Joe JONES, of Pontiac, Mich.; a step-son, Russell ROOKS, of Friendship; a step-daughter, Mrs. Earl WHITAKER, of Memphis; his mother, Mrs. J. T. BROWN, Sr., of Friendship; and six sisters, Mrs. John THOMPSON, of Newbern, Mrs. Ida THOMPSON, of Obion, Mrs. Leatha HOPKINS and Mrs. John RIDLEY, both of Memphis, Mrs. Pete SAWYERS and Mrs. C. W. BROWN, of Friendship. Joseph T. Brown Jr. was the son of Joseph T. & Melvina (Vinnia) Brown Sr. |
